For Individuals

Maybe I shouldn’t put these thoughts in print, but at this point I feel like people need a swift kick in the butt regarding their finances. There is a growing feeling in this country that the divide between the haves, and the have-nots is too large, and getting larger. NO KIDDING? Now, why do you think this is happening? I’ll tell you why: IT’S BECAUSE YOU ALL ARE ALLOWING IT TO! You’re depending on the same old “experts” to guide you in your financial lives. They’re earning a pretty good living, while you all are barely getting by. They wear nice suits and have fancy offices, so they must know what they’re talking about……RIGHT? Well, it’s kind of like all those beautiful casinos….whose money do you think pays for that fancy place? The finance industry is one that is rather difficult to understand and therefore is one that people tend to find rather intimidating. The opportunity therefore is there for people to be snookered by people who “talk a good game”, with results that are less than optimal. Think I’m full of it, read this from the New York Times! If you are satisfied with the way your finances are shaping up, that’s great! But, if you’re like that majority of folks, you’ve got that pit in your stomach, that somethings not quite right. There are a people in this industry that truly are trying to “do the right thing” by people, but they are few and far between. Your job is to find them and educate yourselves! GET TO IT!

Many people are woefully unprepared to make many financial decisions that they are being asked to make, resulting in them relying upon salespeople, or friends,  for advice. This can be downright disastrous, since most of the financial services industry is set up for the benefit of the people in it first, and the clients secondarily (if at all)!
